The MOOC continues to go well. Of the 200 original registrations, between 50-60 have posted discussion rubrics each of the 1st two weeks of class. Approximately 15 students have declared that they are planning to complete the course at the GOLD level. The discussions have been rich and it appears they are learning well from each other. A Twitter chat is scheduled tomorrow evening for an hour. Using #inquirymooc, participants will be able to carry on a live chat. I’ll have prepared question prompts related the course content. I experienced this in a MOOC taught by Eric Brunsell and it was Twitter on steroids and a heap of fun. Finally, the D2L Open Courses platform on which the MOOC is running has included us in their course catalog.
